Ode to a Goddess

I am a Warrior Woman.

I hold my strength in my soul.

My love is fiery — my passion is tender.

My tongue cuts like a double-edged sword.

My arms cradle with a mother’s love.

I’m a Queen amongst many, yet in a league of my own.

My children call me — “Mama.”

They are protected — not to be toyed with or entangled.

They’re lives shall never be crossed, never under my watch.

Hell hath no fury like a woman’s scorn.

My spirit is mighty and thunderous.

I protect. Enlighten. Fight. Kill.

The beat of the drum calls the beat of my heart.

The passion stirs up the whirlwind in my soul

Like a violent storm purging its surroundings.

I am a Warrior woman, Queen amongst many.
